Adult addiction treatment includes the Comprehensive Addiction Treatment Services (CATS) Day Treatment Program, and the Comprehensive Addiction Treatment Services (CATS) Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).

Admission to an inpatient unit is by referral and/or once at the hospital emergency department, by a medical intake and assessment. We have three adult inpatient mental health units and one adult medical detox unit.

Adolescent mental health inpatient services

We have an adolescent mental health inpatient unit at Inova Fairfax Hospital that provides care for adolescents (ages 14-17) who require stabilization and short-term treatment for emotional, behavioral and psychological needs. Placement is by referral and/or once at the hospital emergency department, by a medical intake and assessment.
